Donna Murray, PhD Appointed as Executive Director

In response to member feedback regarding the need for additional internal infrastructure to support our Pediatric Experience Collaborative’s growth and development, our Steering Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Donna Murray, PhD as our Pediatric Experience Collaborative’s first-ever Executive Director!

In partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, Donna will guide our efforts by developing and executing a comprehensive strategy, establishing a framework to demonstrate the return on investment for participating organizations, and providing strategic direction for key operations and initiatives. This role will also provide additional support for the incoming Collaborative Manager. Donna’s role will be a 0.4 FTE.

Donna Murray, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center/University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She currently provides consultative services to healthcare networks and organizations and serves on a number of advisory committees. Dr. Murray previously served as Vice President of Clinical Programs at Autism Speaks, where she led the Autism Care Network—a learning health network dedicated to advancing diagnosis, treatment, and standards of care for children with autism. Earlier in her career, she was Director of Clinical Services in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and Co-Director of the Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She brings over 30 years of clinical experience, and nearly 20 years of experience leading healthcare quality improvement and network-based care, Dr. Murray is committed to harnessing the power of healthcare networks to elevate clinical care and improve outcomes.

We are thrilled to share that our perspectives paper, The Pediatric Experience: Paving the Way in Pediatric Experience, has been officially published in the Journal of Patient Experience! Learn more about the original purpose of the collaborative, the journey thus far, and future directions as we strive to bring value to member organizations and the communities they serve.
